Twenty years of shorts, animation, documentary and television — then a feature that premiered at Cairo and opened in Brazilian cinemas.
Diego Lopes is a Brazilian filmmaker and producer. He founded Oger Sepol in Curitiba in 2005 and has been based in Munich since 2023, working across Portuguese, English and German-speaking markets.
He trained in Communication at Universidade Positivo and completed the Immersion Filmmaking Program at the Los Angeles Film School, with honours. He writes, directs and produces — and has run a production company through every stage of the Brazilian financing system, from municipal grants to FSA, ANCINE and BRDE.
Alongside the film work, he led V-Canvas, a studio applying virtual production, VR and AI to audiovisual, education and corporate work. That capability now sits inside his productions rather than beside them — it is how a 10-episode series got made on a limited budget in 2024.
The calling card.
